Davison graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology with a minor in Biology from Midwestern State University.
Coach Bill Davison has dedicated 25 years to the coaching profession, impacting student-athletes at both the junior high and high school levels. He began his career at McNiel Junior High as part of the Rider High School staff pipeline, then moved on to coach at Rider High School and later at Wichita Falls Legacy High School.
Throughout his career, Davison has coached multiple position groups, including the offensive line, defensive line, and linebackers. His teams have reached the quarterfinals seven times, winning three quarterfinal appearances, and advanced to the semifinals three times. Davison has compiled an impressive 41–17 record in playoff competition.
He has also been blessed with the opportunity to coach alongside six former players who later entered the coaching profession themselves.
Davison has coached numerous athletes who have gone on to play at the highest levels of college football, including:
J.T. Barrett – Ohio State University (Heisman Trophy Contender)
Eric Ward – Texas Tech University (Current Head Coach, Lubbock Estacado)
Markelle Martin – Oklahoma State University (Current Defensive Coordinator, Midland Greenwood)
Jacob Rodriguez – Texas Tech University (Current Heisman Trophy Contender)
Additionally, Davison currently has eight former players actively competing at the Division I level.
Coach Davison has been married to his wife, June, for 37 years. They have two grown children, Drew and Alex.
