Bio

Wichita Falls Legacy High School – Assistant Coach / Director of Football Operations (2024–Present)
Midwestern State University – Assistant Coach (2024–2025)

Jackson graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Education from Midwestern State University in May 2024.

Lexi Jackson played collegiate soccer as a goalkeeper at Midwestern State University from Fall 2020 through Fall 2023. During her playing career, she earned Lone Star Conference Goalkeeper of the Week twice (2022, 2023) and was named to the Lone Star Conference Academic Honor Roll for six consecutive semesters.

After graduating, Jackson returned to Midwestern State University as an assistant coach for the 2024–2025 season, overseeing the defensive unit and goalkeepers. During this season, she coached two All-Conference defenders, developed a goalkeeper who earned LSC Goalkeeper of the Week honors, and helped lead the Mustangs to a national tournament appearance—their first since the 2021 season.

In 2024, Jackson joined Wichita Falls Legacy High School as an assistant soccer coach. In her first season, she coached standout goalkeeper Kayden Grimes, who transitioned from midfielder to goalkeeper prior to the season. Under Jackson’s guidance, Grimes recorded 8 shutouts, allowed just 13 goals with a 0.708 goals-allowed average, and totaled 135 saves while also scoring 2 regular season goals. Grimes earned District 4-5A Goalkeeper of the Year, 1st Team All-Region (TASCO), and was named to the THSCA Super Elite Team for 5A.

This year also marks Jackson’s first season in football as the program’s Director of Operations, where she manages day-to-day logistics and operational responsibilities for both players and coaches within the Legacy Football program.

Jackson has contributed to player development at both the collegiate and high school levels, with athletes earning distinctions including:
Lone Star Conference Goalkeeper of the Week
All-Conference honors
District 4-5A Goalkeeper of the Year
TASCO 1st Team All-Region
THSCA Super Elite Team (5A)
She has also supported postseason success, including a national tournament appearance for Midwestern State University.

Lexi Jackson is set to marry James Johnston—also a coach on the Legacy Football staff—in Summer 2026.
